KUSKOP implements various initiatives to support entrepreneurs in Sabah.

KOTA KINABALU: The Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP) is consistently implementing a range of initiatives to support and engage with entrepreneurs in Sabah.

Its Minister, Datuk Ewon Benedick, said that among the programmes implemented are the National Entrepreneurship Week and the SME Development Week to drive the sustainability of entrepreneurs.

“We believe that the development of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) requires the cooperation of all parties.

“The Jom XCESS programme is an example of how MEDAC and government agencies can collaborate to help foster the progress of MSMEs in Sabah,” he said.

He said this when officiating the Jom XCESS SME Bank Regional Centre Sabah programme here on Monday.

Ewon also suggested that entrepreneurs in the state seize the opportunities provided by the government, including taking advantage of the Jom XCESS programme to advance their businesses.

“I am confident that more MSME entrepreneurs in Sabah will rise and continue to succeed,” he said.

He further stated that the government’s commitment to achieving the goals outlined in the National Entrepreneurship Policy 2030 is clearly supported by the agencies under MEDAC.

He said that as the ministry responsible for overseeing the development and performance of SME Bank, he is proud of the agency’s achievements.

“SME Bank has been actively launching various initiatives, both in terms of financial facilities and entrepreneurial development.

“The collaboration between MEDAC and SME Bank reflects our shared dedication to empowering micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Today’s Jom XCESS programme not only creates a conducive network but also provides opportunities for entrepreneurs to thrive,” he said.
