KOTA KINABALU: The University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF) plans to offer a Bachelor of Architecture degree program soon, making it the first higher education institution in the state to offer such a program.
Dr. Rafiq Idris, the Vice-Chancellor of UCSF, said that the university is working on obtaining the necessary approvals before officially launching the course.
He expressed his hope that the architecture department will be up and running within a year.
Dr. Rafiq also highlighted that once UCSF offers this course, it will be the pioneer university to do so, aiming to contribute to the production of more architects in Sabah.
He told reporters this when met during the UCSF Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration at the university campus in Sembulan, here today.
He emphasized that such celebrations are essential for fostering stronger relationships among university members, including students.
The UCSF Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration was attended by over 250 people.
