He said that the people need to choose a government that is capable of bringing about better changes than the current one.

Bung Moktar, who is also the Sabah UMNO chief, said this in his message in conjuction with the upcoming Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration, which will be celebrated either on Wednesday or Thursday.

He acknowledged that the people in this country are facing economic challenges with the increasing cost of living, which requires Muslims to be more frugal and moderate in preparing for this year’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

In addition, Bung Moktar said that the people in Sabah will also face other challenges, especially those living in urban areas who will be returning to their respective hometowns, where they have to endure uncomfortable journeys on potholed roads, disruptions in clean water supply, and limited electricity supply, which will affect this year’s Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

“Islamic believers need to be patient in accepting these circumstances, but at the same time, they need to think more positively, look forward to a better future, and be brave to make changes,” he said.
