KOTA BELUD: The Community Development Department (KEMAS) plays an important role in the growth and development of children, especially in the field of basic education.
Usukan Assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak expresses confidence that children who receive high-quality basic education will excel in their studies at higher levels.
In order to accomplish this objective, he said KEMAS implements several key strategies that align with the direction of early childhood education, thereby establishing nursery schools as superior institutions.
According to Salleh, the first core strategy is to ensure access to quality education.
“This involves increasing the enrollment rate of children, enhancing the quality of early childhood education, and fostering creativity and innovation.
“Another strategy involves creating a conducive and safe infrastructure, which includes upgrading the KEMAS Nursery and Nursery and establishing an efficient building database,” he said.
The former Sabah chief minister, made these remarks during the Children’s Appreciation Day ceremony for Kindergarten and KEMAS Nursery in the Kota Belud district at the Tun Said Community Hall, here today.
Salleh further emphasizes that the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution has prompted KEMAS to ensure the sustainability of early childhood education, aligning it with the government’s objective of producing human capital equipped with digital skills.
