SANDAKAN: MCA Libaran division chairman Dato’ Chin Kim Hiung visited Sandakan Cheshire Home in conjunction with the festive celebrations.
The MCA Libaran division entourage included deputy chairman Potter Liew. The visitors handed over diapers and food items for residents of the welfare home during the visit.
According to Chin, the visit to Sandakan Cheshire Home in Sibuga is part of Libaran Division’s annual community programme.
“While we celebrate festive occasions surrounded by family and close friends with an abundance of food, new clothes, and joyous gatherings, let us not forget the less fortunate, for whom these luxuries may not exist, he added.
Chin hoped fellow Sandakanites could find time to do their bit to bring cheers to residents of welfare homes and the less fortunate in the district during festivities,” Chin said.
