KOTA KINABALU: Sabah FC pulled off one of the most remarkable wins in this year’s Malaysia Super League, thrashing Sri Pahang 4-0 at the Likas Stadium, here tonight.
Sabah’s deadly striker, Darren Lok, managed to score the first goal as early as the 9th minute of the game after easily converting a pass from Ramon Machado.
In the 43rd minute of the game, Brazilian-born striker R. Machado scored the second goal for Sabah after receiving a clever pass from winger Saadil Ramdan.
Sabah doubled the score through Darren in the 64th minute with a powerful shot from outside the penalty box.
In a space of five minutes, Stuart Wilkin added to Sri Pahang’s misery when he effortlessly scored the fourth goal after a mistake by a Pahang defender.
Three minutes of extra time could not change the outcome of the match.
