KOTA KINABALU: The rise in Covid-19 cases in Sabah lately calls for the vaccination processes to be quickened, said former Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak.
He said that the federal government has recently announced that it will provide additional supply and give priority to Sabah.
“Now, we hope that they will keep their promise,” he said in his latest facebook post.
Salleh, who is also Usukan assemblyman asks the federal government to ensure the supply arrives according to schedule and at the quantity promised.
“If necessary, prepare an alternative plan to overcome any delays in the vaccine supply.
“The people of Sabah have been waiting a long time for the vaccine. We are waiting,” he said.
On July 20, Salleh who is also the former Communication and Multimedia minister also made a similar call to ensure Sabah achieved herd immunity before October, this year.
