KOTA KINABALU: There should be no doubts of Parti Bersatu Sabah’s (PBS) loyalty to the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition.
PBS Vice President Datuk Johnny Mositun said PBS has and will continue to work with GRS in the development of the state and for the people.
Commenting on Umno Sabah’s Liaison Chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin’s statement about PBS staying in GRS, Mositun said speculations of PBS joining up with Parti Warisan Sabah (Warisan) are nothing new.
“The speculations were rife after the state election last year as many said that PBS will join Warisan to form the new state government.
“However, PBS’ stand is that we will continue to be in GRS, to work with the component parties to develop the state. In politics people can say anything but we stand solidly behind PBS President Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili as well as support the leadership of Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor and Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin,” said the former Deputy State Assembly Speaker.
He added, “even though there are some grievences among the party leaders and members, its doesn’t mean we have to destroy the relationship among the GRS leaders.
However, all must keep in mind that everyone has a role to play and extend assistance as and when it is needed, Mositun stressed.
