KOTA KINABALU: Upko President Datuk Wilfred Madius Tangau has categorically denied allegations on social media linking his name as one of the MPs in Sabah who will defect and express support for the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government.
Describing it as irresponsible act, he said the allegation was possibly a deliberate one, with the aim of creating instability among the opposition parties.
“This is a desperate effort by certain parties and I categorically deny allegations that I will defect and join Perikatan Nasional,” he said in his social media posting last night.
As such, Madius, who is also Member of Parliament for Tuaran urged irresponsible parties to stop spreading the slander.
“I will not hesitate to take legal action against the perpetrators of the rumours and slander if they continue doing it,” he said.
