Kadzim told reporters in his office today that after scrutinising the letter, and in accordance with the law, he is unable to accept the resignation letter.

He also informed that the Sebatik assemblyman also handed over a statutory declaration that he has no intention to resign as a State Assemblyman.

“Hereby I have decided that the position of the Sebatik State Assemblyman is still intact,” said Kadzim.

Yesterday, Warisan Sabah’s secretary general, Datuk Loretto S. Padua delivered the pre-signed resignation letter of Hassan to the office of Sabah State Assembly Speaker.

In the pre-signed letter which was stamped with the date February 26, 2021, Warisan asserted that Hassan in his letter wrote that in line with his pledge to be loyal to the party, he was handing over his resignation as a state assemblyman with immediate effect.

A copy of the letter shown by Loretto bore the stamp of the Sabah Legislative Assembly’s Speaker’s office dated March 2, 2021 to indicate that it has been received by the office.
