KUNDASANG: A landslide occurred at the parking area of the Kinabalu National Park located at the foot of majestic Mount Kinabalu at 8am today.

However, there were no casualties reported in the incident.
According to Sabah Public Works Department Director Ali Ahmad Hamid, the landslide situation in the area is quite critical for now and is only about two meters away to the main road.
However, he said the road is still passable.
“If necessary, people can use alternative road Jalan Bundu Tuhan – Kinasaraban,” he said.
Ali Ahmad said PWD has already put up signage and markings to alert road users of danger due to the landslide.
“PWD will also install barrier at the location immediately,” he said.
