KOTA KINABALU: Priscella Peter, President of the Democratic Welfare Party of the People (KDM), paid a visit to Suharti Sudin, a member of the General Action Team (PGA), who is currently fighting cancer.

The visit aimed to offer moral support and provide a small contribution to help ease the financial burden Suharti faces during this health challenge.

Priscella explained that we should continue to show care for individuals who have dedicated their service to the state, particularly in Sabah’s football arena, and should not forget them when they face hardship.

Suharti is also a former Sabah Reserve League football player who contributed to the state’s football scene in the early 90s.

According to her, while the visit and assistance provided cannot eliminate the pain Suharti endures, moral support and attention from the community are hoped to give her strength to remain resilient through this trial.

She also expressed hope that Suharti stays strong and doesn’t lose hope, while praying that all her matters are made easier and that she receives healing.

During the visit, Priscella was accompanied by KDM Vice President Datuk Henry Saimpon, also a former Sabah player, KDM Secretary-General Willie Jude Junaidi, KDM Work Secretary Jaesman Gipin, as well as Rizal Awang Jadd and Ebby Roy, who are also former Sabah players.

Priscella hopes the visit will uplift Suharti and her family’s spirits, while demonstrating that the contributions of those who have served Sabah are always valued and remembered.
