KOTA KINABALU: The BMU Kota Kinabalu Football Club is proudly organising a Football Sports Carnival at the SUKMA A and B fields, near here, on October 11.
This exciting 9-a-Side Football Carnival, welcoming young athletes from Kota Kinabalu, is being held in celebration of National Sports Day.
Chairman of the Organising Committee Ninewjo Newmond said the championship aims to uncover and nurture emerging local talent in football.
He said the event is also designed to strengthen camaraderie and goodwill among the young participants competing in the tournament.
Ninewjo said that the champion team will receive RM2,000 and a medal, the runner-up will earn RM1,000 and a medal, while the third-place finisher will take home RM400 and a medal.
The organising committee is also providing special trophy awards for outstanding achievements – Top Scorer, Best Team Manager, and Best Goalkeeper.
The public, football teams, and local sports clubs are cordially invited to participate in this sports event as part of efforts to promote grassroots sports development.
