KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister cum President of the Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, has announced the appointment of 25 new division chiefs (protem), including four newcomers to lead the divisions of Kota Marudu, Putatan, Kalabakan, and Semporna.
The four newcomers are Saripin Magana for Kota Marudu, Shah Alfie Yahya Ahmad Shah for Putatan, Dr. Andi Md Shamsureezal Mohd Sainal for Kalabakan, and Datuk Dr. Mohd Jasmin Julpin for Semporna.
Hajiji stated that these appointments were made after Gagasan Rakyat received approval from the Registrar of Societies (ROS) following the party’s constitutional amendments in May.
He made this announcement during a press conference after chairing the Gagasan Rakyat Supreme Council Meeting here on Saturday.
According to Hajiji, the restructuring of divisions according to parliamentary areas aims to strengthen the organizational structure and enhance the leadership of Gagasan Rakyat at the division level.
He mentioned that the appointments also showcase a blend of experienced leaders, young figures, and newcomers from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise.
This combination reflects the party’s commitment to forming a more dynamic, inclusive leadership that is closer to the people.
