KOTA KINABALU: Many shoppers from across Kota Kinabalu City braved the scorching sun on Day 2 of the KTC Mega Sale in Kolombong, eager to snag consumer goods at reduced prices.
They began queuing at the Wisma KTC gate as early as 8:45 am to ensure they wouldn’t miss out on the unique chance to purchase their desired essential items.
The KTC Mega Sale, which continues until Sunday, features discounts on essential products of up to 80%.
A random survey indicated that the crowd was significantly larger than the previous day’s attendance, largely due to Datuk Dexter Lau, the CEO of Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Berhad (KTC), who is the mastermind behind this well-organised state-level mega sale.
Datuk Dexter mentioned during the opening day on Friday that the KTC Mega Sale was initiated with a noble goal of supporting consumers in coping with the increasing cost of living.
He also encouraged shoppers to come out in full force for the final day of the mega sale tomorrow (Sunday).
