KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Indian Chamber of Commerce (SICC) continues to uphold its commitment towards strengthening the spirit of patriotism, unity and love for the nation through its “Kibar Jalur Gemilang” programme in conjunction with the National Day celebrations.
As part of this initiative, Datuk V. Jothi President of the SICC personally took part in the distribution of the Jalur Gemilang and Sabah flags to business premises and members of the Chamber around Kota Kinabalu, Putatan, Kepayan,inanam & penampang.
It is an effort to encourage our business community and society at large to proudly demonstrate their love and loyalty towards Malaysia and Sabah, while fostering greater unity among people of all backgrounds.
Programmes such as this are important in nurturing the spirit of patriotism particularly among the younger generation and reminding all Malaysians that our strength lies in our diversity unity and shared commitment to the nation.
The SICC believes that the business community has an important role to play beyond economic development. We must also contribute towards building a harmonious, united and patriotic society.
“I would like to call upon all members of the business community particularly our members across Sabah to proudly fly the Jalur Gemilang and Sabah flag throughout the National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations.
Let us celebrate our independence with pride, unity and gratitude.
