Wira Warisan Sabah lodges police report over mineral license allegations

KOTA KINABALU: Wira Warisan Sabah is calling on the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) to launch an investigation into claims of bribery connected to the granting of mineral exploration licenses in Sabah.

Mohd Khairuddin Daud, the group’s Deputy Chief, confirmed that a formal report was submitted at the Karamunsing Police Station.

This follows public statements made by Albert Tei during a podcast and subsequent media coverage.

He stressed the need for a thorough, impartial, and professional inquiry to uncover the full facts surrounding the allegations.

Khairuddin clarified that the purpose of the report is not to accuse any individual prematurely, but to enable authorities to examine the matter based on verifiable evidence.

He also called on the PDRM, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), and the Sabah State Government to take necessary steps to uphold public trust in law enforcement and state governance
