USNO exits GRS

KOTA KINABALU: The President of the United Sabah National Organisation (USNO), Pandikar Amin Haji Mulia, has announced his resignation as the Deputy Chairman of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and his departure from the coalition.

This decision was communicated during a meeting with Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, the Chairman of GRS, on Tuesday.

According to sources, this move was also agreed upon in the meeting of the USNO Supreme Executive Council (AMET).

Among the reasons cited was the lack of alignment in administrative aspects and government policies following the 17th Sabah State Election.

USNO has stated that it will continue to operate as a political party focused on the struggles of local indigenous people and is committed to playing a role in checks and balances.

The party also expressed its gratitude to the GRS leadership and component partners for their previous cooperation.
