KKJA chairman Jimmy Goh conferred Datukship

KOTA KINABALU: The Chairman of the Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association (KKJA) Jimmy Goh, is among the recipients of medals and honors from Sabah in conjunction with the 75th official birthday celebration of the Governor, Tun Musa Aman, on Monday.

The veteran journalist has been awarded the second highest honor in Sabah, the Panglima Gemilang Darjah Kinabalu (PGDK), which grants him the title of Datuk.

He is currently serves as the chairman of KKJA for the term 2024-2027.

Jimmy Goh, a respected media leader in Sabah and founder of the Kota Kinabalu Journalists Association, has dedicated 35 years to the media industry. 

In addition to his journalism career, he has served the Sabah Kidney Foundation for 25 years, contributing significantly to community and healthcare initiatives.

Other recipients of the PGDK award include High Court Judge Maslinda @ Linda Mohd Ainal; Director of the Sabah Islamic Affairs Department (JHEAINS), Awang Juri Awang Tahir; and Chairman of Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd, Saadiah Aziz.

Additional awardees include the Director of the Sabah Health Department (JKNS) Dr. William Gotulis, Chief Conservator of Forests in Sabah Zulkifli Suara, and the General Manager of the PETRONAS Sabah and Labuan Regional Office, Siti Ayu Haniza Abdul Wahab, along with former Sabah football player Henry Saimpon.
