Time for the Sabah government to fulfill its promises – Salleh

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government now bears the heavy responsibility of delivering on the promises made to the people.

Former Chief Minister of Sabah, Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak, stated that with the state cabinet and ministerial assistants appointed, it is now time to work for the benefit of Sabah. “

“he people are waiting for results. Promises made must be fulfilled with clear actions. “The way of working must align with the people’s needs — engage with the community, listen to the real issues, and act swiftly,” he mentioned in his latest Facebook post.

Salleh emphasized that implementation needs to be expedited while reducing bureaucratic hurdles, ensuring that actions reach the people.

He also pointed out that the demand for 40 percent must be resolved based on the court’s decision.

“This is a legal obligation that must be respected,” he added. “The priority is to address the basic needs of the people, accelerate delayed projects, and ensure that assistance is genuinely felt.

“The public must collaborate regardless of political beliefs. Democracy requires us to respect the people’s decisions and move past old disputes,” he stated. According to Salleh, the true measure is results, not promises.

“The people want to see changes in their daily lives. “With sincere work and a focus on the people, Sabah can continue to progress,” he concluded.
