SANDAKAN: The Information Chief of Sabah UMNO, Datuk Suhaimi Nasir, expressed confidence that the Barisan Nasional (BN) manifesto launched a few days ago for the 17th Sabah State Election (PRN) is increasingly being positively received by the people of Sabah, especially the youth and various segments of the local community.
According to him, who is also the BN candidate for the Sungai Sibuga state constituency, feedback from the community a few days after the launch indicates that the proposals presented by BN Sabah are seen as realistic and feasible if given the mandate in this state election.
“Thank God, we launched the manifesto on the 22nd of the month, and from the developments over the past few days, the BN manifesto has been well received by the people of Sabah,” he said.
He emphasized that the offers for the youth are among the most appealing elements of the manifesto.
“For the youth, our manifesto is very much in their favor. The proposals related to education, scholarships, book vouchers, and student aid clearly demonstrate that the Barisan Nasional Government prioritizes the people, compared to the manifestos of other parties,” he stated.
In addition to focusing on education and human capital development, BN also emphasizes fundamental issues that have long plagued the people of Sabah.
“Another aspect is the improvement of basic infrastructure, which includes the needs for water, electricity, and roads. All of this has been clearly outlined in the manifesto as our commitment to rectify the shortcomings of the previous government,” he said.
He also expressed confidence that all offers can be implemented with careful planning as soon as the mandate is granted.
“I am confident that these offers can be realized. God willing, if given the mandate by the people to govern this state, we will arrange the best planning to ensure that the entire BN manifesto is truly fulfilled,” he said.
