As an Underdog, BN candidate Mohamad Alamin Remains Optimistic for Sabah’s Future

KIMANIS: Barisan Nasional (BN) Bongawan candidate, Datuk Mohamad Alamin, expressed strong confidence in BN’s prospects after receiving encouraging responses throughout the Sabah State Election (PRN) campaign that began with the candidate nomination on Saturday.

He stressed that even though the situation in Bongawan is considered ‘heated’ and often associated with competition involving prominent figures, BN remains focused on its early efforts and thorough preparations.

He stated that BN enters this PRN as an underdog team, but this does not weaken their spirit; rather, it strengthens their determination to deliver surprises.

“I don’t care who my opponent is. What matters is that we have been prepared from the start, our machinery is working, and the public is responding very positively. ‘Nothing is impossible.’ I am confident and optimistic that we can do our best,” he said.

He made these remarks after a friendly gathering and goodwill visit with UMNO Deputy President, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan, at Kimanis Estate, here recently.

At the same time, Mohamad reminded all BN machinery to remain focused until the finish line, without becoming complacent, to ensure victory in Bongawan.

“That is why I always remind our machinery to stay focused on our efforts to achieve victory and reach the finish line,” he said.

Mohamad, who is also the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Chief of UMNO Kimanis Division, mentioned that the feedback received from residents provides additional motivation for the BN machinery to work harder as the voting day approaches.

“The reception has been very good, and the response is very positive. God willing, with such an atmosphere, it gives us higher confidence that our chances are there. However, I do not want to feel complacent; instead, we will continue to work hard,” he said.
