SANDAKAN: Henley Liew Yun Ye, the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) candidate for the Tanjong Papat state seat, held a “walkabout” session at the Elopura Market in Batu 1 ½ on this morning, which was met with a positive and warm response from traders and visitors.
During the event, Henley Liew engaged directly with the public. Demonstrating a personable approach, he took time to greet individuals and listen attentively to the concerns and needs of local residents.
Observations indicated that key issues raised by the community included matters related to the market’s cleanliness and management, as well as the need for infrastructure improvements in the surrounding area.
Henley Liew assured that the feedback received would be used as a guide to formulate more comprehensive development programmes, should he be given the mandate in the upcoming State Election.
His presence was also welcomed by party supporters present at the market, who greeted him enthusiastically while expressing their solid support for his election campaign.
The walkabout concluded on a positive note and is expected to strengthen the candidate’s relationship with the local community.
