KDM candidate launches ‘Kita Kiulu’ manifesto featuring 7 key proposals

TUARAN: The Democratic People’s Welfare Party (KDM) has unveiled its ‘Kita Kiulu’ manifesto, which includes seven main pillars aimed at the constituents of the Kiulu state constituency, should they receive a mandate in the upcoming State Election (PRN) on November 29.

The seven pillars focus on enhancing Infrastructure Development and Public Amenities, Empowering the Agricultural Industry, Prioritizing Land Ownership for Local Residents, Accelerating the PANTAS System, Elevating Sports, Boosting the Economy, including Eco-Tourism, Education and Welfare, and Upholding Local Customs and Culture as the identity of the Kiulu community.

KDM’s Kiulu candidate and party vice president, Gundohing Henry Saimpon, emphasised the importance of sustainable, holistic, and balanced development to ensure the interests of the Kiulu people are always protected.

He said the proposals presented align with KDM’s development agenda to further advance the Kiulu area.

“KDM, contesting independently in this PRN, is determined to make Kiulu a progressive and prosperous small district, on par with other rural districts in Sabah.

“This is my vision and mission for the Kiulu state assembly if elected as a representative in the 17th PRN,” said Henry during a santai gathering with residents of Kampung Kelawat, Ranau Road on Sunday.

Also present was KDM Secretary-General Gundohing Willie Jude.

Earlier, in his welcoming speech, Willie urged Kiulu voters to unite (Misompuru) within the local KDM party in their efforts to capture the Kiulu seat, which has previously been a stronghold of PBS (now part of GRS and collaborating with the peninsula party Pakatan Harapan).

“I believe that if local opposition supporters unite within KDM this time, we can create a surprise in Kiulu.

“It is best to avoid splitting the opposition vote, especially in an eight-cornered fight. As the saying goes, united we stand, divided we fall,” he said.

At the event, over 20 residents of Kelawat joined KDM Kiulu.
