SANDAKAN: Henley Liew Yun Ye, the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) candidate for the Tanjong Papat state seat, visited the Sandakan Central Market and Street Fair in town on Sunday.
The visit was aimed at engaging with the public and garnering support ahead of the 17th Sabah State Election, scheduled for 29 November 2025. He was reportedly met with an encouraging response.
A local resident, Abdul Rahman, expressed his confidence in Henley Liew. He stated that the candidate’s extensive experience, integrity, and discipline as a former secondary school principal make him the best choice for the people’s representative.
Abdul Rahman further noted that among the eight candidates contesting the Tanjong Papat seat, only Henley Liew possesses high credibility. He characterised the majority of the other candidates as “seasonal candidates” who only appear during election seasons to seek support and make all sorts of promises.
Henley Liew, 57, is one of eight candidates contesting the Tanjong Papat state seat.
