KENINGAU: Although he has not yet been crowned with the title of YB, Jordan Jude Ellron, the Chief of Exco Wiramuda STAR Sabah, has already made a significant mark in the Tulid state constituency by becoming the first leader to successfully supply smart television facilities to every school in the area.
The schools that received smart TV facilities in Tulid constituency include SK Kapayan Baru, SK Sodomon, SK Ambual, SK Magatang, SK Penagatan, SK Kabatang Baru, SK Sinulihan Baru, SK Simbuan, SK Tulid, SMK Tulid, SK Batu Lunguyan, SK Lanas, SK Nanadagan, SK Mansiat, SK Sinaron Tengah, SK Sinua, DK Agama Sinulihan, and SK Minawo.
“This means that all schools or all classrooms from primary 1 to form 6, in the Tulid state constituency are now equipped with 100 percent smart TV facilities,” he said in his latest social media post.
Smart TVs offer various benefits in schools, such as enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the Teaching and Learning process (PdPc) through multimedia technology, engaging students, and enabling collaboration and access to a wide range of online educational resources.
They can also serve as a replacement for LCD projectors, which often face technical issues.
Known as a ‘humble and amiable’ young leader, Jordan prioritizes educational agendas for the people of Tulid, especially the youth.
“I hope this Smart TV will be utilized effectively for the benefit of both teachers and students,” he remarked.
According to Jordan, this initiative aligns with the Ministry of Education Malaysia’s agenda to expand digital transformation at the school level.
It has been reported that the Ministry of Education (KPM) announced the implementation of Digital Education in 2021; however, no actions have been taken to realise this in Tulid for now.
Previously, Jordan, the son of Datuk Ellron Angin, was announced as a prospective candidate for STAR in Tulid in the upcoming 17th State Election (PRN17).
