KOTA KINABALU: The Youth Movement of UMNO Sabah asserts that the Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) party is indeed a political coalition born from the betrayal of the people’s mandate, stated the Information Chief of the Youth Movement of Sabah UMNO, Mohammad Mahat Jumahat.
He said that the Information Chief of GRS Youth, Barhul Sahibu, should recognise the reality that none of the individuals involved have clearly denied the viral videos that surfaced earlier.
“The Youth Movement of UMNO Sabah has the right to speak out because the misconduct of the GRS ministers undermines the integrity of the state administration. Linking the case of Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin is merely a cheap attempt to divert the public’s attention.
“We have never attacked the personal character of any GRS leader. Instead, the Youth of UMNO Sabah stands as the voice of the people to expose the misconduct and corruption scandals involving their cabinet, including the ongoing public and court attention on the Sabah mineral management case.
“The Youth Movement of UMNO Sabah will continue to uphold integrity, speak out for the people, and reject the culture of betrayal and corruption that plagues the GRS administration,” he said in a statement.
Mohammad Mahat, who is also the Chief of the UMNO Youth Movement for the Penampang Division, added that remaining silent will only erode the public’s confidence in the GRS cabinet, which is known to have failed in governing the state effectively.
“This situation tarnishes the dignity of the people of Sabah as a whole. Bung Moktar bravely faces the court process without involving the public or party members. That is proof of a leader’s spirit who respects the law – very different from GRS, which chooses to remain silent, blame others, and fail to clear their name,” he further stated.
