PAPAR: Warisan president Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Shafie Apdal, expressed his sorrow and condolences to the families of the victims of the landslide tragedy in Kampung Mook this morning.
He stated that he deeply sympathizes with the affected families and hopes they find strength to face this ordeal.
“May the families of the victims be granted the strength to endure this very difficult time,” he said in a media statement on Sunday.
Shafie also expressed his appreciation to the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) for their swift action in the search and rescue operations, as well as the concern shown by the villagers who assisted.
“My visit to the scene was very touching as I witnessed the spirit of togetherness and the efficiency of all parties in facing this challenging moment,” he remarked.
Additionally, he urged the authorities to continue monitoring the affected areas to prevent the risk of similar incidents occurring again.
“This is in addition to ensuring that the families of the victims and the affected residents receive the necessary support and assistance,” he said.
