Clarence retains MAJAPS presidency

PENAMPANG: Datuk Seri Panglima Clarence Bongkos Malakun has again been reelected president  of the Council of the Justices of the Peace, Sabah ( MAJAPS ) at the 35th annual general meeting on Saturday.

Clarence who has headed MAJAPS for many years, is deputised by Tan Sri Andrew Liew Sui Fatt who was newly elected.

And, the two newly elected vice presidents were Datuk Kevin Lim Thien Phin and Datuk James Ligunjang.

The 11 elected committee members were Datuk Peter Pang En Yin, Datuk Hj. Salsidu Hj. Ibrahim, Datuk John Anselmus Sikayun, Datuk Peter Allion,

 Aw Lai Kheng, Dr. Oh Ei Sun, Datuk Richard Chua Kim Yin, Datin Seri Panglima Vicky Lai Nyat Yin, Dato’ Chew Kok Woh, Dato John Chee Shi Tong and

Yee Tsai Yee.

The  honorary secretary general and treasurer general and their respective assistants will be appointed after the first meeting of the new executive committee members  expected to be held in the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, the draw date for the MAJAPS raffle ticket is October 11 at 11am at the central atrium of ITCC here.

The grand prize is a new model Chery car while the second prize winner will drive home a Proton Saga.

Both cars are now currently on display at the main entrance of the ITCC shopping mall.

The closing date for the sales of tickets is Sept 26.

All tickets not sold or not paid in full after the closing date will be considered null and void.
