PENAMPANG:A blood donation programme at the Clock Tower, Donggongon, on Saturday gathered 42 pints of blood from 67 potential donors, exceeding its goal of 50 participants.
Organised by Kelab Rekreasi Mimpagagat Tokou Sabah in collaboration with the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Blood Bank Unit, the event took place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Annie Joe, the organising chairperson, expressed gratitude to the public for their strong support.
“We appreciate everyone who came forward. Their kindness will help save many lives,” she stated.
She also thanked Unifrutti for providing goodie bags for the donors.
One of the successful donors, Asi Jalius, remarked, “I feel proud knowing my small contribution could make a big difference for someone in need.”
The organisers announced that the next event is planned for December.
