PAPAR – Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor hinted that the Sabah State Assembly (DUN) could be dissolved soon, but he refrained from revealing the exact date of the dissolution.
When asked by reporters, he jokingly mentioned that the media still has a chance to take a break in the next week or two before any announcement is made.
“It’s still a while before the dissolution… You can still take a break for one or two weeks,” he said after officiating the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the Malaysian Construction Academy (ABM) campus in Sabah at its site in Kampung Beringgis on Saturday.
When questioned if the dissolution date would be after Malaysia Day celebrations, he again asked reporters to wait for an official announcement from him.
“Just wait… wait for me to call you three (reporters),” he said.
Earlier, the Speaker of the Sabah DUN, Datuk Seri Kadzim M Yahya, informed that the Sabah DUN will automatically dissolve on November 11, in accordance with the provisions of the State Constitution.
