KOTA KINABALU: The state assemblyman for Sindumin, Datuk Dr Yusof Yacob, was summoned by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) at the Federal Government Administrative Complex, near here this morning.
Sources indicate that the Chairman of Qhazanah arrived at the Sabah MACC office at approximately 8:45 AM after being called to provide a statement.
He also revealed that there are ADUNs who will face charges in court by the end of this month.
Earlier, on June 12, the Chief Commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), Tan Sri Azam Baki, was reported stating that at least two individuals would be charged in court regarding corruption allegations involving certain ADUNs in Sabah.
He mentioned that several individuals have already been identified and prosecution actions will be taken in the near future.
Previously, several video recordings purportedly showing conversations related to corruption between certain individuals and several Sabah representatives regarding mineral mining issues in the state had gone viral.
In response, the MACC is conducting a thorough investigation, including digital forensic analysis of the viral evidence.
