KOTA BELUD: Deputy Minister of Higher Education Datuk Mustapha Sakmud has expressed appreciation for the contributions of the Sabah Tik Tokes Media Association, particularly in countering sensational news and speculation on social media.
He noted that although the association is newly established, it has significantly contributed to clarifying and correcting misinformation that, if left unchecked, could mislead the public.
In this context, Mustapha extended his gratitude to the president of the Sabah Tik Tokes Media Association, Abdul Aziz Bilin, for his leadership in founding the organisation.
“This association is still in its infancy, yet its effectiveness has exceeded expectations, and I take great pride in its establishment,” he stated.
Mustapha made these remarks during his speech at the Open House of the Sabah TikTokers Media Club held at R & R near here recently.
Furthermore, Mustapha, who is also the Member of Parliament for Sepanggar, hopes that the association will continue to strengthen its role at a higher level, paving the way for future successes.
Meanwhile, Abdul Aziz welcomed the financial support provided by Mustapha, which will facilitate the association’s implementation of various planned programs, including digital media seminars and major forums for TikTokers.
During the same event, the Sabah Tik Tokes Media Association presented several awards, including the Special TikTokers Award, the Special Appreciation Award, and the Pioneer Special Award to its members.
