2025 Iftar Tour, led by KTC, kicks off in Kudat

KUDAT: Yesterday marked the launch of the 2025 Iftar Tour by Kim Teck Cheong Consolidated Berhad (KTC) in partnership with the Sabah Community Development Leaders Unit (UPPM) at Dewan Tun Mustapha, Kudat.

The event featured the distribution of iftar meals and essential contributions to various underprivileged groups, including asnaf, senior citizens, individuals with disabilities, single mothers, orphans, and members of the B40 community in Banggi, Bengkoka, Pitas, and Tanjong Kapor.

This initiative is designed to uplift disadvantaged communities across 25 parliamentary constituencies in Sabah.

KTC’s Executive Director, Datuk Dexter Lau, a seasoned lawyer turned business leader, brings over 25 years of management experience to the table.

His remarkable leadership has propelled the company towards sustainable growth and a stellar corporate reputation.

Renowned for his skills in corporate strategy, risk management, and innovation, Datuk Lau is a respected figure in the industry.

The inaugural day of the 2025 Iftar Tour also welcomed ADUN Tanjong Kapor YB Datuk Ben Chong and his wife, UPPM Sabah Director Datuk Haji Awang Kadin, alongside community leaders, local government officials, KTC executives, and UPPM representatives.

This program not only fosters community connections but also underscores KTC’s dedication to its corporate social responsibility.

Datuk Ben Chong expressed his appreciation to UPPM Sabah Director Datuk Awang Kadin and KTC Executive Director Datuk Dexter for orchestrating this iftar event, which serves the local vulnerable populations while promoting unity and camaraderie among diverse ethnic groups.

The event saw an attendance of 400 individuals, with 40 participants receiving Raya cash gifts from Jetama Water Sdn Bhd.
