KOTA KINABALU: Women of Sabah UMNO are fully prepared to assist the party machinery in facing the 17th State Election (PRN), which is anticipated to be the most intense and challenging.
According to a report from UMNO Online, the Chief of UMNO/Barisan Nasional (BN) Women in Sabah, Datuk Noraini Idris, stated that the current focus is on ensuring the readiness of the party’s machinery, especially given the heightened challenges posed by emerging issues in this election.
She acknowledged that women serve as the primary frontline machinery of the party during every election.
“UMNO women are the key frontline machinery of the party. Each election, we work diligently to engage with voters at the grassroots level to secure victories for BN candidates.
“We recognise that the challenges in this upcoming election are significant, making it essential for us to continuously prepare ourselves and our machinery comprehensively to achieve success,” she remarked on Tuesday.
She emphasised that in navigating current challenges, women must strengthen collaboration and maintain a focused approach while ensuring unity across all levels.
Earlier, the UMNO Sabah Women’s retreat took place over two days on February 8-9, inaugurated by the Sabah UMNO Chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin.
