KOTA KINABALU: The celebration of the New Year 2025 in Sabah was vibrant, despite the rain slightly dampening the atmosphere.
People from various ethnicities and beliefs showcased their spirit of togetherness by participating in open house events, including those at the village level, in conjunction with the Chinese New Year.
In Kota Belud, Sabah UMNO Chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin and Usukan Assemblyman Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak took the time to attend and enliven the open house hosted by Datuk Andy Chua.
Local residents and fellow supporters in Kampung Tombol, located not far from the town of Kota Belud, also joined the festivities.
This year’s Chinese New Year marks the Year of the Snake in the Chinese zodiac, which is believed to bring joy, positive energy, and abundant prosperity.
