Businessman George Guntarik appointed Inanam KDM Chief

KOTA KINABALU: Businessman Datuk George Guntarik has been appointed as Inanam Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) chief effective immediately.

George, 58, received his appointment letter and endorsement from KDM President Datuk Peter Anthony during a brief ceremony held today.

Also present were KDM Vice President Gundohing Henry Saimpon, KDM Secretary-General Willie Jude, and KDM Vice President Dr. Oswald Aisat.

Speaking to reporters later, George expressed his gratitude to the KDM president and party leadership for the trust placed in him to lead the local party in the Inanam state constituency.

“I will strive to strengthen KDM’s presence in Inanam, including enhancing the party’s election machinery,” he said.

Previously, the KDM president indicated that the party is likely to contest in all areas with a majority of KDM voters or mixed constituencies.

Among the KDM leaders touted as potential candidates for the Inanam mixed seat are George and Willie.
