Sabah PKR Information Chief Razeef Rakimin said Sabah PKR has never been called for any official discussions regarding the cooperation alliance for the upcoming state election.

He emphasised that the Sabah PKR has its own autonomy to determine the coalition partners for the Sabah state election, and they should discuss it in Sabah, not with the higher-ups.

“Anyone who wants to collaborate with PKR Sabah must meet with us here (Sabah)… So far, we confirm that no one has been called for any official discussions regarding this collaboration.”

“Talk to us, not to the higher-ups… Because any decision regarding cooperation will be made by us, and we will know who is suitable to cooperate with in the upcoming Sabah state election,” he said at a press conference here today.

He commented on the statement by the BN Chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister, that BN and the Pakatan Harapan (PH) have finalised their cooperation to face the Sabah state election expected to take place next year.

According to Zahid, the agreement between BN and PH serves as the foundation for cooperation in facing the Sabah state election, and his side has never closed the door on forming collaborations with party coalitions in Sabah or any cooperation with the parties present in Sabah.

Razeef, the national’s PKR Deputy Information Chief, said that if BN truly wants to cooperate, they can come and meet to discuss, as well as other parties, including the GRS.

“We are still open to cooperation, but we want this decision to be made with our knowledge… PKR in Sabah must be consulted.

“So we advise BN, if you want to cooperate in the Sabah state election, come and meet us instead of meeting with the higher-ups, because we have our own autonomy in Sabah,” explained Razeef.

According to him, in Sabah, the PKR has the autonomy to decide on any cooperation later in the upcoming state election and will subsequently inform the PKR President, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, regarding this cooperation decision.

“It is not them who hold discussions among themselves with the President.” We see this as a mistake because PKR Sabah has its own autonomy in Sabah.

“We personally see that cooperation with the Warisan might not happen, because we see some of the leaders (of the Warisan) seem to be attacking us almost every day,” said Razeef.

He emphasised that it is impossible for Sabah PKR to collaborate with Warisan since they are clearly attacking the party at this time.
