KGKS president Murkam Hj Hussien said that the largest allocation in KPM’s history proves the Madani government’s commitment to ensuring that no student is left behind in receiving assistance and facilities at school.

In this regard, he said KGKS hopes that a larger allocation will also be given to the Sabah Education Department to strengthen the field of education in the state.

Murkam also hopes that the allocation can be channeled to improve the standard of sports education in Sabah.

“I believe that the development of this sport should be initiated and talent nurtured while the children are still in school, thus helping to produce more caliber athletes in the future,” he said in a statement today.

He said this when commenting on the 2025 Budget announced by the Prime Minister, who is also the Minister of Finance, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, on Friday.

Murkam also welcomes the government’s commitment to improve the premises of school canteens and prayer rooms across the country.

He said the initiative’s facilities also include continuing the commitment to improve dilapidated schools in Sabah.

In addition to building new schools, KGKS also hopes that the facilities for teachers’ housing, especially in rural areas, will receive the appropriate attention, he said.
