KOTA KINABALU: University College Sabah Foundation (UCSF) recently hosted the 6th International Mobility Seminar titled “Bridging Cultures and Economies: Global Mobility for Sustainable Business Growth” at its Sembulan campus.
The seminar was a collaborative effort between UCSF, Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), and Universitas Halu Oleo (UHO).
Keynote speaker Datuk Dr. Rafiq Idris, Vice Chancellor of UCSF, emphasized the critical role of international mobility in fostering entrepreneurial success and driving economic growth. He explains the importance of mobility in supporting movement of goods, people and investment between countries.
Invited speakers included Prof. Dr. La Ode Anto, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business at UHO; Dr. Nitri Mitrosea from UHO; and Dr. Rudy Ansar, Senior Lecturer from the Faculty of Business and Economics at UMS.
This hybrid seminar attracted over 100 participants from the three universities and followed the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between UCSF and UHO in Kota Kinabalu.
Dr. Rafiq Idris expressed his hope for more collaborative activities among the three institutions in the near future.
UHO is one of the largest universities in Sulawesi, Indonesia with student population of over 40,000.
