KOTA KINABALU: The colossal RM 5 billion loss in the operations of Sabah Development Bank, the largest in Sabah’s corporate history, warrants the issuance of a white paper, said former Petagas assemblyman Datuk James Ligunjang.
In making the call, he said the white paper will offer an in-depth analysis and detailed information on the weaknesses and processes involved in the approval of loans.
“This is not the time for blame but rather an opportunity to seek guidelines for recovering the non-performing loans,” he said in his latest social media post.
Ligunjang said the White Paper will provide recommendations to guide our lawmakers in formulating policies that address the issues within Sabah Development Bank and other government-linked companies.
