TUARAN: The Kem Istirehat Advent Dantai (KIAD) is now known as DEBAC (Dantai Elpizo Beach Adventure), which will witness improvements in terms of recreational facilities and accommodation.
The renaming of KIAD to DEBAC was announced by the president of the Sabah Mission of Seventh-Day Adventists, Pastor Feldinand B. Sawanai, during a motivational talk at the Pathfinder Camp at Dantai Beach today.
He said that this step was taken as part of an effort to promote DEBAC as a modern camping site with various necessary facilities.
“We are planning to upgrade several existing facilities at Dantai Beach, including recreational amenities,” he said.
More than 3,000 youths, including those from overseas, aged between 10 and 15 years old, participated in the Pathfinder Camp.
Sabah is the host of this inaugural programme organised by the Malaysia Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists (MAUM).
The five-day Pathfinder Camp concludes today (Thursday).
