KENINGAU: State Assemblyman for Sook Datuk Ellron Angin is ready to contest the Pensiangan Parliamentary seat in the 15th general election (GE15) if nominated by the party leadership.
Ellron, who is also State Minister of Youth and Sports, indicated this in his speech at the opening ceremony of the ‘Gotong Royong” Program’ at Kampung Terlobou Baru in Sook today.
“I do not deny that I am interested in contesting as a candidate for Pensiangan, if nominated … yes I am ready,” he said.
Also present at the event were his Political Secretary Tuan Jre Jreneus Pagut, Sook Community Development Leader Tony Talasoi and Sabah Star Wiramuda Vice Chief Jordan Jude.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Village Development and Security Committee for Terlobou Baru En. Lodius Singh said
Star supporters and grassroots in the Sook state constituency fully support Ellron to contest in Pensiangan in GE15.
“We strongly agree if Datuk Ellron contests in P.182 Pensiangan and we will give 100% support to him,” he said.
During the visit, Ellron also visited several villages in Sook to listen to the people’s woes
such as roads and drainage.
