KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) will continue to serve as a driving force for industrial development in both Sabah and the Federal Territory of Labuan.
In addition to ensuring its relevance in every stage of development, SESB remains committed to playing a pivotal role in the progress of Sabah.
During a recent visit to the Kibing 33KV Main Switch Station (SSU) at Kota Kinabalu Industrial Park (KKIP), Chief Executive Officer, Ir. Ts. Mohd Yaakob Hj Jaafar, emphasised the significant contribution of foreign investors to the state’s economic growth and the subsequent increase in electricity consumption.
To support these investors, he said SESB is prepared to provide tailored electricity supply schemes that align with their proposed developments.
Mohd Yaakob further stated that SESB will temporarily supply energy through the SSU 33kV Kibing until the completion of the company’s power set in June 2024, ensuring uninterrupted operations for the factory.
The recently commissioned SSU 33kV Kibing will specifically provide electricity to SBH Kibing Solar New Materials (M) Sdn Bhd at KKIP until the company’s power set is ready.
This visit was attended by Ma Wen Tao, the Acting Managing Director of SBH Kibing Solar New Materials (M) Sdn Bhd, and SESB management.
