TAMBUNAN: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Deputy President Datuk Dr. Joachim Gunsalam has called on all party leaders and members to make every effort to bring back PBS to its former glory.
“I believe that if all party members take responsibility, PBS will continue to rise and shine,” he said.
Dr Joachim said this when officiating the 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Tambunan PBS Division at Dewan Keluarga Angkangong, here on Saturday.
He urged all leaders and party members to continue the struggle of the former leadership with confidence and courage.
He also called on them to take advantage of the current political stability to further strengthen the party’s position in the country.
“PBS is now 38 years old. We are mature enough…the previous leaders were very clear and proven in fighting for the party and now it is time for us to step forward with confidence and courage in continuing the party’s struggle,” he said.
A total of 200 delegates and observers attended the AGM.
Meanwhile, Dr. Joachim congratulated PBS Tambunan Division chief, Datuk Daniel Kinsik for successfully organising the AGM.
Dr. Joachim, who is also Sabah Deputy Chief Minister said PBS will continue to work with political partners in Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) to continue the current momentum of political stability.
He said political stability was also vital in determining the political future of PBS.
Also present were Tulid PBS chief Datuk Suman Yasambun and Kadamaian PBS head Demis Rumanti.
