MetMalaysia issues continuous rain warning in Sabah

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has raised the warning level of continuous rain forecast in several areas in Sabah until this Wednesday (Jan 25) to danger.
In a statement issued at 2 pm today, MetMalaysia said the danger-level warning of continuous heavy rain is expected in Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran, Sandakan, Pitas and Kudat.
MetMalaysia also issued a bad-level continuous rain warning in Tambunan, West Coast, Lahad Datu and Kota Marudu areas, and an alert-level warning of continuous rain warning in Tongod.
Apart from that, continuous heavy rain (bad level warning) is forecast in Sarawak, involving Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Betong, Sarikei, Meradong, Mukah and Bintulu, as well as in Johor (Mersing dan Kota Tinggi).
Continuous rain (alert level warning) is also expected till Wednesday in several areas in Pahang (Kuantan, Pekan and Rompin), Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Pontian, Kulai and Johor Bahru) as well as Sarawak (Sri Aman, Pakan, Julau, Sibu, Tatau, Sebauh, Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi).
In an earlier statement this morning, MetMalaysia issued a continuous rain warning (bad level) in several areas in Sabah, Terengganu, Pahang, Johor and Sarawak.
