KUALA TERENGGANU (BERNAMA): Terengganu FC (TFC) must win the first match of the Super League against UiTM FC at the Shah Alam Stadium on March 6 if the team’s excellent momentum to continue until the end of the season.
TFC manager Zulfadli Rozi said although the Turtles squad managed to record a commendable achievement, namely, third place in the Super League last season and qualified for the AFC Cup this year, but his team should not feel too comfortable.
“The team’s record early last season was not very satisfactory. Therefore, we will work hard to collect early points.
“It is important to ensure to keep the team’s momentum,” he said in a statement today.
Meanwhile, team’s head coach Nafuzi Zain said he had made the best preparations for his men to face the busy and challenging schedule this season.
Despite having to go through several challenges such as a short pre-season period, Nafuzi, who has been in the Turtle squad for two seasons, refused to use it an excuse not to win at the Shah Alam Stadium on March 6.
“I really expect tight schedule to be issued by the Malaysian Football League (MFL) and it is a big challenge for all teams.
“Although the pre-season period is quite short and we only had a few friendly matches as a “warm-up” session, TFC will still do its best to create more success this season,” he said– BERNAMA
