KOTA KINABALU: In a latest political twist, it is reliably learnt that Parti Cinta Sabah’s Secretary General Mohd Ustar Haji Abdul Ghani has quit the party.
It is not known whether his exit was a consequence of PCS taking a stand not to contest in the coming 15th general election.
Ustar joined PCS in 2020 as Vice President and was elevated to Secretary General after the party went through restructuring this year.
Ustar.,a UK trained lawyer, served as a Prosecutor in Perlis, Sarawak, Negeri Sembilan and Johor before taking early retirement to fully join politics.
A Putatan born and raised Ustar had served in West Malaysia and Sarawak for more than 20 years. He was tipped to stand as Parliamentary candidate in Putatan through PCS.
A political analyst, Ustar wrote articles on many issues and often seen to fight for Sabah’s rights through his articles.
