KUALA LUMPUR (BERNAMA): Former Australian international and Sabah hitman, Scott Ollerenshaw has been appointed as Sabah FC’s technical director, aimed at improving the quality of football in the state.
The club through a Facebook posting announced that the appointment would automatically make Ollenrenshaw the head of the youth development programme to unearth new talents for the Super League outfit.
“This is one of the initiatives implemented to express the team’s determination to improve the quality of football in Sabah,” it said.
According to the posting, the football legend will also act as an intermediator for the import players and Sabah FC itself, as well as a scouter for players to be absorbed into the Rhinos.
The 53-year-old, who played for Sabah from 1994 until 1997, had scored 110 goals for the Rhinos and won the golden boot award twice to be the club’s legend.– BERNAMA
