KUALA LUMPUR: The Federation of Chinese Associations Malaysia (Huazong) and the Negeri Sembilan Chinese Assembly Hall (Sheng Hua Tang) on Monday paid a courtesy call on the Yang Dipertuan Besar (Grand Ruler) of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir.
The courtesy call led by Huazong Preident Tan Sri T.C Goh was aimed chiefly to brief Tuanku Muhriz on the 37th Malaysian Chinese Cultural Festival, which will be held in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, in September this year.
During the courtesy call which took place at Istana Negeri Sembilan here, Tuanku Muhriz was briefed on the background of the Festival and its preparations, besides the organizational structure of Huazong and NSCAH, and the Malaysian Chinese Museum which is being managed by Huazong.
In a statement issued today, Goh said during the cordial exchange, Tuanku Muhriz acknowledged the important roles played by Huazong and Sheng Hua Tang, especially towards forging greater unity and harmony among Malaysians of different races.
Huazong also extended its warm invitation to Tuanku Muhriz to grace the 37th Malaysian Chinese Cultural Festival, which will be held in Seremban, from 16 to 18 September, 2022.
Also in attendance during the courtesy call were, Wong Keng Tong, President of Sheng Hua Tang, Huazong Treasurer-general Tan Sri Tan Kean Soon, its Central Committee member Dato’ Lee Teck Hua, while accompanying Tuanku Muhriz were members of the Negeri Sembilan Royal Family, Tengku Azwil and Dato’ Fuad Rahman.
